Shooting... Shooting... and more Shooting!!!Wow! Its been a while since I posted. I now have new-found energy to do so.
deviantART has changed on my ass since I have been off the scene! I logged in a few days ago and was overwhelmed at the many page options and tools! @.@;; I managed to find my way around it, and I am currently tweeking my page little by little.
As for my work ~ I now only work one full-time job again. I just could not bring myself to work from 6AM - 1AM anymore. I left that other hell-hole around April of this year. Rested, and started shooting again. Being that I already work at a photo studio, I have free access to the studio whenever I want to use it. Which is f*&king AWESOME! So far I have done around 10 photoshoots, all of which I cannot wait to show! I started using my blog again, but for behind-the-scenes information to the photos I will upload.
There is a serious team that I work with. I now have a makeup artist, a wardrobe stylist, a hair stylist AND an assistant!
I cannot believe how life can change within a course of a few months - let alone when I started dA back in '04 via another account.
As far as how my work is coming along, I will say that I have been improving, but of course I am still NO professional. I still need critiquing and oomph.
I can honestly say that I see myself being more active due to everything that is going on around me. I am immersed in photography. Hell, I work IN a studio in NYC! I have no excuse not to! lol!
As of lately, I have been using my Canon Digital Rebel XTI in studio - but more recently, I have been shooting with a 1982 Canon AL-1 (35mm) which my grandmother gave me. I really needed it, for discipline. I need to scale down how often I take a shot with my digital SLR per studio session by planning better, and I also need to learn how to PREVISUALIZE! I don't want to bracket anymore when I am outdoors. Ansel Adams said bracketing is for those who don't know what they are doing. I hung my head in shame when he said that. *smh*
Plus, I am teaching myself how to use a darkroom by developing prints myself. (My studio also has a darkroom).
